Data Governance

Reports you can defend, because the data underneath them is clean.

We fix the records, then install the standards and automation that stop the mess from coming back. Every change is logged, verified live and reversible.

Who this is for

You will recognise yourself in at least one of these

  • Thousands of companies without names, websites or countries.
  • Contacts not attached to their company, so roll-ups lie.
  • Duplicate records from years of imports and integrations.
  • Compliance needs, such as GDPR subscription types, that were never set up.
What we do

The work, step by step

Data assessment

Fill rates, duplicates, orphan records, inconsistent formats and the imports or workflows that caused them.

Cleanup at scale

Names, domains, countries, lifecycle values and associations repaired in bulk through the API, with backups and reversible manifests.

Enrichment strategy

Use the data you already own first. Test enrichment vendors before paying for them. We have rejected more than we have recommended.

Property and naming standards

Property groups, naming conventions, required fields and picklists your team will actually follow.

Hygiene automation

Formatting rules, duplicate alerts, association workflows and monitoring reports so the standard holds.

Compliance setup

Subscription types, consent capture and retention rules aligned with GDPR.

Situation

Forecasting ran in a BI tool fed by NetSuite and HubSpot, but HubSpot company records were too dirty to roll up: nameless companies, full country names in a two-letter code field on 13,344 contacts, contacts unattached to their company.

What we did

  • Recovered company names from evidence the client already owned (contact records, domains, NetSuite exports) before spending a cent on enrichment, which we tested and rejected.
  • Standardised country data on 649 company records and repaired 13,344 contact country codes, every change logged to a reversible manifest.
  • Associated 606 orphan contacts to the company that owns their email domain and sourced 719 missing websites, each rated for confidence.

Result

Company-level reporting and deal roll-ups work again. Every write was verified live after the fact, and the client received review sheets for the records we deliberately did not touch.

FAQ

Questions we get about this service

Will you delete records?

Not without explicit approval. Our default is to flag candidates for deletion in a review sheet and let you decide. Merges are irreversible, so they get the same treatment.

How do you avoid breaking integrations while cleaning?

We map which systems write which properties before touching anything, re-read every record immediately before writing, and skip records that changed in the meantime.
